PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A Portsmouth science teacher is being honored at the state level for her work in the classroom.
Patricia Gallop teaches at Westhaven Elementary School. She's been named the 2023 Exemplary Science Teaching Award winner for elementary schools.
This honor comes from the Virginia Association of Science Teachers.
Gallop will be recognized at an awards ceremony in November.
