PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man was found with gunshot wounds Sunday afternoon on Cumberland Avenue in Portsmouth.
Bennie Anthony Artis Jr., 51, was pronounced dead on scene in the 500 block, near the intersection of Cumberland and High Street.
Several police vehicles and crime tape could be seen in the Greater Grinders area in the 3500 block of High Street Sunday evening.
