CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies in Currituck County, N.C., are investigating an "officer-involved shooting," according to a post on the sheriff's office Facebook page.

The message, posted around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, did not offer details.

A News 3 crew saw police activity at Worth Guard Road and 158 in Coinjock.

Authorities have not said who was shot or what caused the incident. The post did say, "The scene is secure, and there is no threat to the community."

As of Sunday morning, Currituck Sheriff's Office had not responded to our inquiry.
