NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A 17-year-old boy is in the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound after being found at a 7-Eleven in Newport News, police said.
Just after 2:30 a.m., NNPD received a call about a shooting in the 13300 block of Warwick Boulevard.

When they arrived, they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital.
Just after 6 a.m., police could be seen closing off the area around the 7-Eleven on Warwick Boulevard. By 9:30 a.m., it appeared the store had reopened.
