NEWPORT NEWS, Va — A snake caused a widespread power outage in Newport News Saturday night.
The outage started around 9 p.m. when a snake came into contact with a transformer, according to a spokesperson for Dominion Energy.
As many as 11,700 customers were without power for about an hour and a half, the spokesperson confirmed to News 3's Jay Greene.
