NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A fire Sunday evening in Newport News sent smoke into the sky across the city.
Pictures and video from News 3's Ellen Ice show flames shooting from a building in the area of 44th Street and Orcutt Avenue, just a few blocks from Downtown Newport News.

There was no immediate word on injuries, what type of structure, or what may have led to the fire.
