NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The southbound lanes of the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel (MMMBT) have reopened after a multi-vehicle crash caused them to close, according to VDOT.

Shortly before 9 a.m., VDOT told drivers to expect delays on I-664 in Newport News. Around 9:30 a.m., traffic backups were about two miles long, according to VDOT.
Just before 10:15 a.m., VDOT said the delay had cleared.
