HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton Police officers shot an armed man Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to two separate calls related to a person with a gun. When they arrived around the 4800 block of 81st Street, they found the suspect.
When the suspect "brandished" the firearm, the officers shot and struck him.

The suspect was described as in stable around 4 p.m. Monday following the shooting. Police said they found two firearms at the scene.
The officers involved are on administrative leave while the investigation continues.
