ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. — A 17-year-old is facing charges after the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office said a gun was found in a vehicle parked in the Arcadia High School lot.
Deputies discovered the gun during a canine search on Monday.
The 17-year-old was charged with possession of a firearm on school property, possession of a handgun or assault rifle under age 18 and possession of marijuana under age 18.
The juvenile was a student at Arcadia High School, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities took the 17-year-old to the Norfolk Detention Center.
