CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A car collided into a train along the train tracks on Liberty Street by Wilson Road Wednesday morning, according to police.

Chesapeake police were notified of the crash at 4:25 a.m.

Police say the driver ignored the train track's gate arms as they crossed the railroad. The train then hit their car at a slow speed. There were no major injuries, only property damage was incurred.

The car took a majority of the collision damage as it had to be towed away. This left the train stopped on the tracks for several hours.
