NORTHAMPTON Co., Va. - Authorities in Northampton County are investigating after someone was found dead inside a home in Cheriton, Virginia, early Tuesday morning.
Around 3:50 p.m., the Northampton County Sheriff's Office received a call for a gunshot victim on Bluebird Road in Cheriton.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found 39-year-old Shavon Myrick of Cheriton dead inside the home.
Officials are investigating Myrick's death as a homicide.
