YORKTOWN, Va. - When Phyllis Houston learned her Christmas lights were burned-out, she had no idea that her trip to Home Depot could leave her beaming from ear to ear. Her next stop, the Wawa at 2610 George Washington Memorial Highway, is where she received her winning Virginia Lottery ticket worth $171,685.

Houston played Cash 5 with EZ Match, a single ticket matching all numbers exactly. The winning numbers for the November 25 drawing were 10-17-18-34-38.

She allowed the computer to randomly select the numbers on her ticket and chances of winning were one in 749,398.

According to lottery officials, she said she couldn’t believe she won. “It just feels wonderful”, said Houston.

Houston, who is retired, said she has no immediate plans for her winnings.
