NORFOLK, Va. - Say hello to Murphy the newest member of the Norfolk Police Department.
Sgt. Rich Creamer picked up his new partner Murphy aka "Murph" from Mutts With A Mission on Friday.
Murphy is a 12-week-old Labrador Retriever. He will be training with Sgt. Creamer over the next two years to become the department's second Assistance Dogs International certified facility dog.
During his training, Murphy will learn over 40 commands that will prepare to him to support the well-being of Norfolk's finest.
"We are so happy and grateful to have Murphy join the NPD Family," the department said on Facebook.
