PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The Silverthornes can now toast to the New Year because their Christmas miracle has come true!
With the help of Conyers Electrical Service and All Conyers Heating & Cooling, Charlie and Cindy have heat in their home.
We learned about the couple's heartwarming story earlier this week after their heater stopped working on Christmas day. It would cost more $3,000 to fix the heating system in their trailer home.
With the pandemic, heart conditions, and limited resources, they had no choice but to bundle up and struggle through chilling temperatures.
The couple both suffer from COPD and other disabilities, so going some place to gain a little heat is not an option. "We can't go to a store to get warm because we don't want to be around the public," they said.
Today, they welcome warmth.
Scott Conyers provided and installed all new heating equipment, while Steve Conyers provided the new electrical circuits needed!
