VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Let's meet a new member of KJ's Kids, where local students shine in STEM education.

Roni Shaheen, a sixth grader at Cape Henry Collegiate, excels in mathematics. In fact, Roni is a standout student in his AP Calculus class. His teacher, Mr. Rudolph, described Roni as a remarkable student in a classroom full of high school juniors and seniors.

"It's phenomenal. I think the best way I can describe it or compare it is you hear about [how] a great musician can look at a piano and it just makes sense to them," said Bryan Rudolph.

Roni said his drive to learn outweighs his ability at math.

"It's easy to forget how impressive it actually is because it becomes part of your life, almost," said Roni.
