Franklin City Public Schools gifts students with 12 Days of Holiday Magic

FRANKLIN, Va. - Franklin City Public Schools is gearing up for the most wonderful time of the year and is inviting its students to participate in 12 Days of Holiday Magic!

According to a release, FCPS wants students to feel the joy of the season so they are holding a holiday-themed event each day.

To keep track of the fun and share the schedule with the community, parents and children can follow this holiday booklet.

Events are as follows:

Tuesday, December 1
12 Days of Holiday Magic will kick off with a Christmas Coloring Contest! Printouts can be found at the end of the Holiday booklet and submissions should be sent here by Friday, December 4.

Wednesday, December 2
Que the carolers, a Zoom Holiday Sing-a-long Event will be held at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to register and attend here, using passcode: 666918.

Thursday, December 3
Submit your “Present Pet Pictures” to win a prize for the best holiday pet outfit submission. Submit your pictures to here by Wednesday, December 2.

Friday, December 4
The Franklin City Downtown Association presents the Franklin City Drive-thru Parade. Drive by and see Santa. Click here for more information.

Saturday, December 5
Drop your letters to Santa off at the Rawls Library and then paint an ornament in downtown Franklin. Click here to view the flyers.

Sunday, December 6
At 6:30 p.m., the FCPS community will have family movie night. Register here by Friday, December 4, 2020 and the streaming information will be sent to the email address listed in the registration.

Monday, December 7
At 6:30 p.m., "Frosty the Snowman” will be read to all community children by Mayor Frank Rabil. Find the video here.

Tuesday, December 8
From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., students can participate in the ”Decorate with Me” holiday cookie decorating event. Register here, using passcode: 064920.

Wednesday, December 9
Submit “Family Holiday Photos” here by Wednesday, December 7. Submissions posted on December 9, 2020.

Thursday, December 10
Submit pictures of you in your UGLY Holiday Sweater here by Wednesday, December 9 and view all submissions on Thursday, December 10.

Friday, December 11
Register for the Shake it Up Christmas Party from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Zoom.

Saturday, December 12
12 Days of Holiday Magic will end with the highly anticipated Festival of Lights & Magical Delights, according to FCPS. The drive-thru event will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., where students can visit all three schools. Students are invited to collect all of the wonderful treats and experience The Grinch’s Candy Cane Lane at S.P. Morton, Gingerbread Lane at J. P. King, and Winter Wonderland Avenue at Franklin High!
