CHESAPEAKE, Va. - A school bus driver from Chesapeake and the Virginia Lottery have one thing in common - they both work to help school children. Now, they have another thing in common.
Vivian Vaughan is retired, but she still drives a school bus. The Virginia Lottery raises funds for K-12 public education.
Vaughan played the Virginia Lottery’s Cash 5 game and matched all five numbers to win the $100,000 top prize.
It happened in the June 15 night drawing, with a ticket she bought at the 7-Eleven at 2200 South Military Highway in Chesapeake.
“It hasn’t hit me yet,” she told Virginia Lottery officials when she claimed her prize. “I’m not even thinking!”
