NORFOLK, Va. - For the next several months, a new mural will grace the walls of the Chrysler Museum of Art...but it won't be painted.
Renowned contemporary glass artist Dan Dailey is using tape to realize his vision.
Lines of black tape will occupy two walls with the patterns reflect Dailey's glass works in an exhibit set to open on Friday, February 21.
Dailey is interested in human emotions and behaviors, which are in turn showcased in his projects.
Visitors should see different faces in the mural, he tells News 3.
“For instance the eye of one face might become the mouth of another face and so on throughout the drawing so there are multiple faces someone might find or even imagine they see and I didn’t intend it," said Dailey.
Dailey, who lives in New Hampshire, been a professional artist for several decades.
His exhibit and mural will be on display at the Chrysler Museum of Art until June. Admission to the museum is free.
