Free round-trip rides to voting polls for seniors, adults with disabilities on Election Day in local cities

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia has partnered with Coastal Ride to provide free round-trips to the voting polls on Election Day for seniors and adults with disabilities.

On Tuesday, Nov. 3, Senior Services will offer free round trip to senior adults, 60-years-old and older and adults with disabilities in Chesapeake, Norfolk or Virginia Beach.

Riders will be driven to their registered polling location. If available, drive-up voting will be accommodated, and is preferred for the health and safety of the passenger.

Senior adults wanting to arrange for a ride on election day will need to make a reservation in advance by calling Senior Services at 757-963-9218 no later than noon on Friday, Oct. 30.

Individuals requesting a ride must provide a phone number, pickup address, registered voting location and a preferred pickup time.

Rides are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
