Early voting in Virginia started Friday, September 20.

You can vote at your local general registrar's office. Based on where you live, there may be additional satellite locations.

The locations' opening and closing times vary.

At Norfolk City Hall, some people did not waste time casting their ballot.

"We had voters lined up here before we opened at 9:00, and it has been steady all day, both inside as well as our curbside voting," said Stephanie Iles, Director of Elections and General Registrar for the City of Norfolk.

Several voters said it's convenient.

"I didn ‘t want to wait til the last minute," stated Nyla Williams-Johnson. "I wanted to get it done, because already made up my mind."

November 2, just a few days before the November 5 election day, will be the last day to vote early.
