PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Another Hampton Roads native is helping give back to his community in a time of crisis.
The City of Portsmouth will host a drive-thru food distribution event sponsored by Portsmouth native and Dallas Mavericks player Dorian Finney-Smith.
The event will take place in the parking lot of I.C. Norcom High School, located at 1801 London Boulevard, on Wednesday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those wishing to attend are asked to enter from High Street.
Items such as groceries, toiletries, t-shirts, socks and books will be distributed on a first come, first served basis until everything runs out. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, social distancing measures will be observed for safety.
The event is for Portsmouth residents only.
