HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton police have made an arrest in connection to a maiming incident that occurred on October 11.
Matthew Persaud, 35, assaulted and shot the victim in the 100 block of Saunders Road after she left the residence of her children's father, according to HPD.
Persaud was charged with the following:
- One count Maiming
- One count Abduction
- One count Strangulation
- One count Use of Firearm in Commission of Felony
- One count Domestic Assault and an Emergency Protective Order.
