NORFOLK, Va. — A pursuit of a stolen vehicle out of Chesapeake ended with a crash in Norfolk Thursday evening.
It all started on I-464 near Freeman Avenue when Chesapeake police tried to stop the vehicle. The driver refused to stop, leading officers into Norfolk.
During the chase, police said two passengers got out of the car near Ohio Street and left the area on foot. Police are still searching the area for those people.
The driver, a juvenile male, continued across Berkley Bridge into Norfolk until they crashed into two citizens' vehicles at Brambleton Avenue and St. Paul's Boulevard, near the Scope.
The juvenile tried to get away after the crash, but police apprehended him before he could get out of the car.
Police said the juvenile was not hurt but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Charges are pending in the case.
A person in one of the uninvolved vehicles was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
