NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Greek Fest has been a tradition for over 40 years, but this year COVID-19 is forcing organizers to change how they do things.
The event is happening Thursday December 10 through Sunday December 13 at 7101 Granby Street at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral Church in Norfolk. The hours are from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., each day.
This year they changed the name to Greek Fest Express.
Organizers said they have consolidated the menu and have a drive through set up. They have people working the traffic and taking orders.
Organizers added that they came up with a plan with the city of Norfolk. They said they are not taking cash to avoid contact with others and are adhering to COVID-19 restrictions.
“Have patience. You're going to get your food. It is going to be delicious. There's a little learning curve,” said Steve Webb, the Norfolk Greek Fest Organizer.
Organizers encourage people to look at the Norfolk Greek Fest Facebook page by clicking here.
They have the menu posted at the link on their Facebook page, and people can order ahead of time!
