PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Two 18-year-olds were arrested and charged in connection with a child abuse incident that resulted in the death of an infant in the 10 block of Suburban Circle earlier this month.
Portsmouth Police say this incident happened on Feb. 9. They did not release any further details or the circumstances surrounding the child's death.
18-year-old Rocky Ali Mugynei II and 18-year-old Talaysia Nelson have been charged with Second Degree Murder and felony Child Abuse. They were both arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 17 around 4:30 p.m.
This is an ongoing investigation.
