HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - Leaders and politicians from around the world have responded positively after news broke of President Trump and the First Lady getting COVID-19.
Their positive tests come just hours after the White House announced that senior aide Hope Hicks came down with the virus after traveling with the president several times this week.
And though the mass of responses seem to be wishing him well and for a speedy recovery, what are our local politicians saying?
Virginia Gov. Northam sent his well wishes:
North Carolina Gov. Cooper said he is praying for a quick recovery:
We pray for a quick and complete recovery for President Trump and the First Lady. This virus is highly contagious and can be deadly, and the best way to protect each other and ourselves is to wear masks, wash hands and stay distant to stop the spread. - RC
