North Carolina reports 2,468 new COVID-19 cases, 46 deaths; Local areas report 34 new cases, 1 death

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Saturday, there are now 263,117 PCR positive cases and 11,458 antigen positive cases, 1,184 people hospitalized and 4,378 total COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 2,468 new PCR, 337 new antigen cases and 46 additional deaths from Friday.

Local areas reported 34 new cases and 1 new death, with Pasquotank County reporting the area's highest increase of 6 cases and Chowan County reporting the area's only death.

A total of 4,043,698 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
