The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 93,106 total cases, 89,602 of which are confirmed and 3,504 are probable. There are 2,218 total coronavirus related deaths, with 2,108 being confirmed and 110 being probable.
The case numbers are up by 1,324 and there were zero deaths reported since Sunday. Hampton Roads and its surrounding cities saw 484 new cases and 14 additional hospitalizations from Sunday.
A total of 1,151,604 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Monday, there are 883 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 322 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. Combined, there are a total of 1,205 being hospitalized for coronavirus related illness. That's 32 more hospitalizations from Sunday.
271 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.
151 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 663 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 3,062 in the state - that's 22% usage.
12,255 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.
