WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment announced Friday it will temporarily close all of its theme parks, including Busch Gardens Williamsburg, through the end of the month due to growing concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

The parks will close starting Saturday, March 14.

During this time, essential personnel, including animal care experts will continue to look after the health, safety and nutritional needs of the animals in the park's care. Animal rescue and rehabilitation operations will continue to operate, and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment will continue to pay its full-time Ambassadors during this period.

"We are monitoring this evolving COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation closely and coordinating with public health officials. We look forward to welcoming our valued guests back to our parks soon," Busch Gardens said in a statement.
