Ice cream retailer Ben & Jerry's is postponing its Free Cone Day due to concerns about the novel coronavirus.
According to a statement from the company, some of its shops will be unable to take part in the event due to precautions put in place by local governments around large public gatherings. To "stand in solidarity with ice cream lovers everywhere," the company plans to reschedule the event for later in the year.
"Our scoop shops remain open as usual and ready to serve up your favorites," the company said.
