VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - An abandoned house in the Back Bay area of Virginia Beach erupted in flames Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 3 p.m., firefighters with the Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1500 block of Back Bay Landing Road. Engine 6 arrived on scene and reported a fire in the back of an abandoned house.
Crews were able to bring the fire under control within 12 minutes and reported it out at 3:30 p.m.
No civilians or firefighters were injured during this incident.
The cause of the fire is currently investigation.
