63-year-old man arrested after bomb threat at Norfolk polling station

NORFOLK, Va - A 63-year-old man was arrested on Election Day after threats of bombing a polling station was reported.

According to officials, Norfolk Fire-Rescue’s Office of the Fire Marshal responded to 1122 W. Princess Anne Rd at Taylor Elementary School for a disturbance with the polling station on Tuesday.

Officers say they then arrested 63-year-old Joseph Francis Carosi with the “threat to bomb the polling station.”

Police say the man is currently being held at Norfolk City Jail and is set to meet with a judge Wednesday.
