WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Monday was a big day for about 49 people as they took the oath of allegiance to become American citizens in a naturalization ceremony held on the Colonial Capitol Lawn in Williamsburg.

The ceremony comes the day after "Constitution Day and Citizenship Day" that commemorated the formation and signing of the constitution on Sept. 17, 1787.
