3 dead, woman left with life-threatening injuries following Norfolk crash, police working to determine cause

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Police are investigating a fatal crash that left three people dead and one woman seriously injured.

On October 23 around 10:15 p.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of E. Princess Anne Road for a report of an overturned vehicle. When officers arrived, they found that a BMW had run off the road and hit a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, 49-year-old Norfolk man Denis F. Snead, and two passengers, 40-year-old Norfolk man Joshua P. Delp and 36-year-old Norfolk woman Christiane M. Rivera, were declared dead at the scene.

Another woman, 48, was taken to Sentara Norfolk General to be treated for life-threatening injuries. Police say she is expected to recover.

Detectives are investigating the crash, and are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
