HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - Hampton Roads Transit announced Tuesday that they will not collect fares on its bus, light rail, ferry and paratransit services on Election Day.
On Tuesday, November 3, HRT will not collect fares as a public service to the citizens in the region.
The service will run from the start of the transit day until the end. HRT says the fares are being waived to give riders every opportunity to get to the polls to vote.
