There she landed one of the last interviews with Joan Rivers, reported on 9/11, and did red carpet interviews with Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and JLO. She also served as an anchor and reporter for Black Entertainment Television hosting specials including A Conversation with President Obama, Michael Jackson Forever the King, and Music Around the Globe, which was nominated for an NAACP Award.
April is a Visiting Journalism Professor at Norfolk State University and a Media and Marketing Consultant for Favor Multi-Media.
As a graduate of the University of Virginia, she lives in Chesapeake with her husband, Pastor Adrian Woodard, and two children, Adrian and Alek.
Chandler Nunnally
Chandler Nunnally is a born-and-raised Hampton Roads guy. Growing up in Chesapeake, Nunnally attended Indian River High School and Old Dominion University. A drummer since childhood, he's spent years playing at local venues and public events. Music has a huge place in his life, but movies are Chandler's passion... a passion that led him to a career in communications.
In 2017, Chandler joined WTKR-TV News 3, eventually becoming a Director. His proudest achievement was directing an episode of Coast Live that featured a wedding, officiated live on set. This show won the Coast team a Creative Excellence Award from the Virginia Association of Broadcasters in 2020.
In 2022, Chandler’s desire to learn about every side of the T.V. industry led to the opportunity to become an on-air host for the show he had spent years directing, Coast Live.
Now, Chandler and his co-host April Woodard get to show the fun side of Hampton Roads every weekday at 9 a.m.! Chandler loves having a dialogue with the people of Coastal Virginia and highlighting the people, businesses, and experiences that make our region so unique.
