    (CNN) — Myrtle Beach authorities responded to six separate shootings Saturday that left three people dead and five people wounded in the popular South Carolina resort city, police Capt. David Knipes said Sunday. The deadly incident occurred at the beachfront Bermuda Sands motel, where three men were killed and one person was wounded. Knipes said no one has been arrested.     James City County, Va. – A two-person light sport aircraft crashed into the James River Saturday evening. Virginia State police say a two-seat aircraft crashed into the James River Saturday around 8:30pm. The aircraft stalled when the pilot, 62-year-old John Williams of Williamsburg, slowed below minimum safe speed and stalled, according to police.     Suffolk, Va – A fire on Bradford Drive in the College Square neighborhood leaves a family of four without a home. The call came in just after 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening. Investigators say it all started in the kitchen, because of smoke damage throughout the house the family is unable to live in the house. The family is getting help from the Red Cross.

  • Teens from Saint Mary’s Home enjoy prom

    There was music and there was dancing but this isn’t just any prom. Many of these teens are from Saint Mary’s Home. The teens were able to enjoy a Mardi Gras themed prom. Their dresses and tuxedos were purchased or rented by Saint Mary’s auxiliary board. Organizers and volunteers from local high schools helped make this evening a success.
