I’m from Greenville, South Carolina but just moved here from Orlando, Florida where I have lived the past six years.

Most Meteorologists have one crazy weather event that solidified their love for meteorology but my story is different – I was actually terrified of storms. About age four I wanted to know what the weather for the day would be and my parents showed me the forecast in the newspaper. It was all in pictures and I could understand it! So, I began looking at the daily weather forecast before I could read.

Once I started learning the science behind it all, I began to grow a new found love for weather and wanted to learn as much as I could.

Because of that I went to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University studying Operational Meteorology with a minor in communication and broadcast media.

Before News 3, I was the weekend morning meteorologist and weather producer at WKMG News 6 in Orlando, Florida where I covered multiple hurricanes and severe weather threats, including Hurricane Matthew.

In my spare time I like to travel, go to the beach, shop, go to yoga, eat, binge watch Netflix, and hang out with my cat Rocky. I love meeting new people and can’t wait to experience everything coastal Virginia has to offer. I am very excited to say after five years I finally get to experience fall once again!

Moving to Norfolk will bring me closer to my fiancé who is currently training to be a Naval Aviator and who was actually raised in Virginia Beach.
