Aleah Hordges joined News 3 in April 2017.

She previously worked as a bureau reporter in Houghton, Michigan for WLUC-TV where she was a one-woman show. Aleah would enterprise, shoot, write and edit her own stories for daily newscasts. While bearing the cold temperatures and snow in the Upper Peninsula, Aleah won Best Investigative Story from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters in 2016 for her report on what to do if you get stopped by police and have a concealed pistol license with a firearm in your vehicle.

Aleah was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated Cum Laude at Savannah State University. She was a member of the track and field/cross country team and earned her Bachelors degree in Mass Communications with an English minor.

Aleah is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

She’s very excited to be back in warmer weather and enjoys shopping, exploring new places, and meeting new people.
