VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The winners of 2022 Chalk the Walk have been announced.
Chalk the Walk was held in Virginia Beach last weekend. Competitors completed chalk drawings and were evaluated by a panel of judges.
Judges scored the drawings according to criteria such as composition, use of color, adherence to theme, and creativity.
There were three competitive divisions: Amateur, Professional, and Youth. The Youth division was for ages 12-16.
Trophies and cash prizes were awarded for each division.
Beach Events and the City of Virginia Beach announced the following winners in each division.
Youth Division:
- 1st place: Madeleine Rooney

- 3rd place: Kieffer Colton
