VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Hampton Roads Vegfest returned over the weekend in Virginia Beach.

The annual festival at the Oceanfront celebrates cultural diversity among the Vegan community.

Those taking part feasted on plant-based foods, participated in cooking demonstrations and more. In addition, healthy eating resources were provided.

"People that are on a journey to Veganism, we say 'transitional vegans, if you have any cravings, Vegan junk food is great, but eventually, you do want to phase out of that and eat more healthier," said organizer Rebekah Ortiz. "We have vendors from all walks of Vegan life that represent cultural diveristy, but also junk food healthy food, raw food...all aspects."
