VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Two VBSPCA puppies were selected to be in the 2023 'Puppy Bowl.'
Expresso with "Team Fluff" and Briscoe with "Team Ruff" played in a plethora of fun on-field activities.
The goal of the 'Puppy Bowl' is to bring awareness to animals who are shelter bound. With many shelters having "ruff" reputations, events like this prove good animals do come out of shelters.
Kate Baldwin, Chief Operations Officer for the VBSPCA tells News 3, that this once a year event helps to show people that these animals do make great pets.
"Animals in shelters have had a bad wrap in the past and this is an opportunity to show what great animals do come from shelters and they make great pets and there is so much cuteness in the puppy bowl that it brings a lot of smiles to people's faces," said Baldwin.
