VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Nothing like an Easter egg hunt to liven things up for the holiday! One of the biggest around returned this weekend at Hunt Club Farm.

Hunt Club Farm's annual Spring Fling and Easter Egg Hunt had fun for the whole family.

It was a two day event, which kicks off the busy season for the farm.

Families could come take pictures with the Easter Bunny, meet some baby animals at the petting farm and then search for eggs.

The farm told News 3 that the good weather meant bigger crowds, with as many as 8,000 coming out over the past two days, which is huge for the family-owned business.

"We're seasonal in January and we are only open weekends in February and March so we really go into debt quite a bit to keep our staff working and general maintenance and updates on t he farm so Easter makes a huge difference for us," said Randi Vogel, President of Hunt Club Farm.

Plus the event keeps getting bigger and bigger!

Vogel told News 3's Anthony Sabella that more than 40,000 eggs were hidden for the hunt this weekend, up from 35,000 last year!
