In 2023, between our spring and fall internal and external donation campaigns, WTKR employees and you, our generous viewers, donated a total of $33,744.87 for the If You Give a Child a Book initiative!
Our campaign supports Hodges Manor Elementary School in Portsmouth.
Last year, our campaign allowed each child to take home five books. But this year, we've more than doubled our contribution to the community.
One book is $6, meaning we raised enough money to purchase 5,624 books for the kids at Hodges Elementary!
