NORFOLK, Va. — If you're planning on visiting the Virginia Zoo while your kids are on spring break, there are a few things you need to know.
The zoo will be requiring advance reservations during the week of March 30 to April 7.
All tickets must be purchased online in advance by all zoo guests, including members, for a selected entry window between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and the zoo says the latest possible time to enter the facility will be at 3 p.m.

The zoo is also offering programs throughout the week including a variety of keeper and educator chats, pop-up animal encounters and a guided Wild Walk through the zoo on Wednesday, April 3 at 10 a.m.
They're also offering a chance to make an all-week plan for your kiddos with the Zoo's Spring Break Safari Camp, where first through fifth graders can explore the animal kingdom and become Spectacular Species Protectors! The camp runs from April 1-5.
The zoo says no onsite tickets will be available during the week, however, individuals with a disability recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) qualify for free admission, along with a plus one, and do not need to reserve advanced tickets for spring break. If you fall under this category, the zoo says you are able to show up and let the ticket booth know they'd like the ADA discount upon arrival.
The measures put in place are to ensure every visitor can have a blast while experiencing all the facility has to offer, according to the zoo.
