SUFFOLK, Va. — The Suffolk Public Library and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. are partnering to bring books and activities to a variety of Suffolk neighborhoods.

The city says throughout July, members of the sorority will be joining library staff on weekly "Library2Go" visits to neighborhoods including Colander Bishop, Wilson Pines and Heritage Acres.

During the visits, children will be given free books to add to their home libraries, as well as a variety of activity kits to provide educational opportunities while school is out.

The city says this partnership is one of the many ways t hat the library and sorority are making efforts to bring resources and education directly to the community.
