VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The return of the Polar Plunge to Virginia Beach was a "stone-cold" success!
According to Special Olympics Virginia, more than 2,600 people took to the frigid Atlantic Ocean Saturday afternoon in support of its athletes and programs.
It's the largest fundraiser of the year for the organization — bringing in more than $1.5 million over two days of events, the organization said in a release.
News 3 is one of the sponsors of the Polar Plunge and familiar faces, like anchor Kurt Williams, joined thousands of "plungers."
Thank you to all who plunged and supported Special Olympics Virginia!
