CHESAPEAKE, Va. — March is National Reading Month!
To promote literacy, News 3 reporter Kelsey Jones visited a local school to read to some adorable first graders.
Deep Creek Elementary School students welcomed "Miss Jones" into their classroom with open arms.
The students gave Kelsey some of their favorite books to read to the class.

It's News 3's mission to work with the community to get books into the hands and homes of hundreds of children across the region. We're partnering with the Scripps Howard Fund for the "If You Give a Child a Book" campaign.
