NEWPORT NEWS, V.a - The City of Newport News is hosting the 47th annual Fall festival this weekend. The festival returns after being canceled for two years in a row due to COVID-19.
The festival will be located in Newport News Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., October 1 - 2.
If you plan to attend you should expect a host of over 75 vendors exhibiting handmade jewelry, candles, soaps, pottery, quilts, and treats, as well as a pumpkin patch.
The festival will offer free family activities. Activities include ax throwing ace painting, wagon rides, fortune telling, a corn maze, and more.
It will also feature more than 25 food vendors serving cracklins, seafood, roasted corn, crepes, grilled cheese, shaved ice, ribs, popcorn, pizza and more.
The Fall Festival is free, but there is a $10 parking fee. No animals are permitted in the festival area.
