NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Saturday, Sept. 16, is the 63rd Annual Denbigh Day Parade in Newport News.
The city is partnering with the Lions Club to host a day of family fun and entertainment, according to a Newport News press release. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the Denbigh High School and will feature more that 60 different parade units and 1,200 participants.
The parade route is one mile down Denbigh Boulevard and Old Courthouse Way, passing by the viewing stand and festival grounds at Courthouse Way Community Center and ending at Sherwood Shopping Center, according to the press release.
The Denbigh Day festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Courthouse Way Community Center grounds, according to the press release. There will be live music, games, inflatables, educational displays, photo ops, arts and crafts, food vendors, pony rides, bungee jumps, amusements and more.
The parade and festival are free to the public and parking is available at the Denbigh-Warwick Shopping Center, according to the press release.
